The Hornady 50 BMG Chamfer and Deburr Tool is a dedicated case-preparation hand tool built specifically for .50 calibre brass. After trimming or when working with new cases, the case mouth needs to be chamfered on the inside edge and deburred on the outside edge before seating bullets — neglect either step and you risk damaged bullet bases or inconsistent seating depth. Hornady made this tool from A-2 tool steel, a grade widely used in tool and die making for its hardness and wear resistance, then hardened it to 60 on the Rockwell C Scale — far harder than the brass it cuts. The result is razor-sharp cutting edges that produce a clean, consistent case mouth every time. The extra-large diameter is sized for the oversized neck of .50 BMG brass, where standard chamfer tools simply will not fit. Whether you are loading for long-range target work or wanting to make the most of fired .50 calibre brass, this is the right tool for the job.
