The Hornady Cam-Lock Bullet Puller Collet #1 is sized for .17 calibre bullets and is designed to work exclusively with the Hornady Cam-Lock Bullet Puller. The collet grips the bullet shank securely as the puller is tightened, holding it firmly enough to draw the projectile cleanly from the case without deforming it. This allows the bullet, powder charge and brass to be recovered intact — useful when a batch of rounds needs to be pulled for load development changes, when surplus ammunition is being broken down, or when a loading mistake must be corrected. The cam-lock mechanism delivers controlled, consistent clamping pressure, making it gentler on bullets than an inertia-style puller. Collets are calibre-specific; this #1 collet suits .17 calibre projectiles. Sold individually.
