It is sized to grip bullets of .430 inch diameter, making it the correct choice for the .44 Magnum, .44 Special and .44 Remington Magnum — cartridges whose projectiles measure .429 to .430 inches across. The collet fits the Cam-Lock Bullet Puller body, which mounts in the ram of any standard reloading press. A quarter-turn closes the collet around the bullet shank; the press downstroke then draws the bullet free from the case cleanly, leaving both components undamaged and ready for reuse. This press-based method gives the reloader precise, controlled extraction — far more consistent than a kinetic hammer-style puller, and without the risk of spilling propellant.
