The Hornady Cam-Lock Bullet Puller Collet #8 is a calibre-specific collet for use with the Hornady Cam-Lock Bullet Puller tool. It is sized to grip bullets of .321 or .323 inch diameter, making it the correct choice for 8mm Mauser (8x57mm) and similar cartridges that use a .323-diameter projectile, as well as .321-diameter rounds. The collet fits onto the Cam-Lock Bullet Puller body, which in turn mounts in the ram of a standard reloading press. A quarter-turn of the collet locks it firmly around the bullet shank; the downstroke of the press then draws the bullet cleanly from the case without distorting either component. This non-destructive disassembly method lets reloaders recover propellant, cases and bullets intact — useful when correcting overloads, salvaging mislabelled ammunition, or reconfiguring loads. Collet #8 is sold individually and requires the Hornady Cam-Lock Bullet Puller body (available separately).
