The Hornady Custom Grade Full-Length 2-Die Set for 17 Rem Fireball (.172) is built for handloaders who want precise, repeatable results from this fast, flat-shooting varmint cartridge. The full-length sizing die restores fired brass to SAAMI minimum dimensions using Hornady's Elliptical Expander — a design that sizes the case neck more smoothly than a conventional ball expander, reduces neck stretch and eliminates the need for a separate expander die when necking up. The Zip Spindle locks positively to prevent slippage, and its light-thread system allows fine incremental depth adjustments without tools. The precision-polished internal profile prevents case sticking and keeps functioning smooth. The second die is an in-line seating die with a floating alignment sleeve that holds bullet, case neck and seating stem in co-axial alignment before the bullet enters the neck, maximising seating consistency and accuracy. A built-in roll crimp function saves a station on the press. Sure-Loc lock rings clamp the full die body without touching the threads. Supplied in a stackable die storage box; 7/8"-14 thread fits any standard-die press. Shell holder not included. Made in the USA with Hornady's lifetime warranty.
