The Hornady Custom Grade Full-Length 2-Die Set for 20 Vartarg (.204) is a purpose-built reloading tool for handloaders working this wildcat varmint cartridge, which is based on necked-down 221 Fireball brass. The full-length sizing die restores fired cases to correct dimensions and features Hornady's Elliptical Expander, which sizes the case neck more smoothly than a ball expander, reducing friction and case neck stretch while eliminating the need for a separate expander die when necking cases up. The Zip Spindle locks positively to prevent slippage and its light-thread system provides fine, repeatable depth adjustments alongside quick coarse movement by zipping. The precision-polished internal bore keeps cases running smoothly without sticking. The companion in-line seating die uses a floating alignment sleeve to hold bullet, case neck and seating stem in co-axial alignment before the bullet enters the case neck, supporting consistent seating depth across each loading. Integrated roll crimping saves the need for a separate crimp die. Sure-Loc lock rings clamp the full die body without thread contact; incorporated wrench flats make die changes straightforward.
