The Hornady Custom Grade Full-Length 2-Die Set for 22 K-Hornet (.224) is a precision reloading tool for handloaders working the Kilbourn-improved version of the classic 22 Hornet, a wildcat offering more case capacity and improved shoulder geometry for better accuracy and slightly higher velocities than the parent cartridge. The full-length sizing die restores fired brass to proper dimensions and uses Hornady's Elliptical Expander to deliver smoother neck sizing with less friction and reduced neck stretch than a ball expander; internal threading keeps the expander locked securely, and the design eliminates the need for a separate expander die when necking up. The Zip Spindle locks positively against slippage and accommodates fine or coarse adjustments with equal ease. A precision-polished internal bore prevents case sticking across long loading sessions. The in-line bullet seating die floats bullet, case neck and seating stem in a floating alignment sleeve and brings them into co-axial alignment before the bullet contacts the neck, supporting repeatable seating depth and tight groups. Roll crimping is built in, saving a separate die. Sure-Loc lock rings grip the full die body without thread contact. Stackable die storage box included; 7/8"-14 thread. Shell holder not included.
