The Hornady Custom Grade Full-Length 2-Die Set for 222 Remington (.224) is built for the handloader who wants to get the most from this classic, accurate varminting and target cartridge. The full-length sizing die returns fired brass to SAAMI minimum dimensions, with the Hornady Elliptical Expander handling neck sizing with noticeably less friction and case-neck stretch than a conventional ball expander — internal threading keeps the expander from pulling loose under normal use. The Zip Spindle locks positively on the sizing die and allows both fine incremental adjustments and rapid gross repositioning without tools. The second die in the set is an in-line bullet seating die fitted with a floating alignment sleeve that holds the bullet, case neck and seating stem in line before the bullet enters the neck — a meaningful aid to consistent seating depth and reduced run-out. A built-in roll crimper removes the need for a separate crimp die. Both dies carry Sure-Loc lock rings that clamp around the full die body without bearing on the threads. Supplied in a stackable die storage box. 7/8"-14 thread; fits any press accepting standard dies. Does not include a shell holder. Made in USA, lifetime warranty.
