The Hornady Custom Grade Full-Length Size Die for 6.8mm Remington SPC (.277) resizes fired brass back to SAAMI minimum dimensions, ensuring consistent case geometry for reloaders working with this intermediate semi-automatic cartridge. Hornady's Elliptical Expander is the defining feature: it outperforms ball expanders by providing smooth, low-friction neck sizing that reduces case neck stretch, and internal threading holds it firmly in place while also eliminating the need for a separate expander die when necking up to a larger calibre. The Elliptical Expander and headed decap pin attach to the Zip Spindle, a Custom Grade exclusive that locks positively to prevent slippage under use. Light threads on the spindle and spindle lock enable precise incremental adjustments, and the spindle zips freely for larger movements when setting up from scratch. A precision-machined and polished internal die profile keeps the 6.8 SPC case moving smoothly through the stroke without sticking or excess friction. The Sure-Loc lock ring clamps around the entire die body with consistent circumferential pressure; the locking screw does not bear on the die threads, and machined wrench flats make die removal straightforward without risk of damage.
