The Hornady ECX (Extreme Copper alloy eXpanding) is a monolithic copper hunting bullet designed specifically with European hunters in mind. Constructed entirely without lead, it meets lead-free requirements increasingly required across continental hunting regions and UK forestry estates. The optimised profile is engineered for excellent accuracy across a wide range of chamber designs and twist rates, with particular attention paid to compatibility with traditional European chamber dimensions common in 7x64, 7mm Rem Mag and similar chamberings. At .284" diameter and 150 grains, the ECX offers a solid copper construction that expands reliably on impact to deliver controlled terminal performance on deer and larger woodland game. Sold in boxes of 50 component bullets for hand-loading, allowing the reloader to work up tailored loads for their specific rifle and quarry.
