The Hornady Neck Turn Mandrel for 25 calibre (.2545) is a precision accessory designed for use with the Hornady Neck Turning Tool. The mandrel inserts inside the case neck, providing a solid, accurately sized support against which the turning tool's cutter works as it shaves the outside of the neck wall to a uniform thickness. Consistent neck wall thickness improves concentricity, which in turn promotes uniform bullet seating tension and tighter shot-to-shot pressure variations — benefits that are particularly valued by precision rifle reloaders and long-range target shooters. Sized at .2545, this mandrel is matched to 25 calibre cases. Sold individually as a replacement or additional mandrel for reloaders who work across multiple calibres.
