The Hornady Quick Change Powder Die (item #050074) is a dedicated accessory for the Lock-N-Load® AP™ progressive reloading press, designed to work in conjunction with the Case Activated Powder Drop (#050073). It replaces the standard lower assembly with a purpose-built bracket that lets you lift the powder measure clear of the die station without disturbing your drop charge setting, then drop it straight back in — reducing calibre changeover time considerably. The kit includes a lower bracket, guide bushing and lock ring, giving you everything needed to convert an existing Case Activated Powder Drop setup. It is also compatible with Hornady's Powder Through™ Expanders, which seat into the Quick Change Powder Die and expand case mouths at the same station as the powder drop, freeing a station for a taper crimp die or powder check. Thread pitch is the standard 7/8–14, so the die body seats in the same station position as any standard die in the Lock-N-Load AP shellplate.
