The Hornady 30 Calibre ELD Match 225gr Seating Stem is machined to the ogive profile of Hornady's 30-calibre 225-grain ELD Match bullet — an exceptionally heavy, high-BC projectile suited to cartridges with the case capacity to drive it at effective long-range velocities, such as the .300 Winchester Magnum and .300 Norma Magnum. A bullet of this weight and length has a pronounced secant ogive, and the seating stem must contact it at precisely the right point to seat it square and true without placing any load on the Heat Shield tip. This stem is the correct internal component for doing exactly that within a Hornady Custom Grade seating die. Consistent seating depth at this bullet weight pays dividends at long range, and the profiled stem is what makes that consistency achievable. Compatible with Hornady Custom Grade dies only.
