The Hornady 7mm ELD Match 180gr Seating Stem is a precision-machined replacement component for Hornady Custom Grade bullet-seating dies, contoured to fit the ogive of Hornady's 7mm 180-grain ELD Match bullet. The 180gr ELD Match is one of the heaviest, highest-BC projectiles in the 7mm line, favoured by long-range precision shooters loading for cartridges such as 7mm Remington Magnum and 7mm PRC. Its pronounced ogive demands a correctly profiled seating stem to ensure contact is made at the right point and that the Heat Shield tip is not deformed during seating — damage to the tip would alter the bullet's ballistic coefficient and undermine accuracy at distance. This stem fits Hornady Custom Grade seating dies only and is not compatible with die bodies from other manufacturers.
