The Hornady Standard Lock-N-Load® Pistol Metering Insert is a replacement rotor assembly for the Hornady Lock-N-Load® Powder Measure, designed specifically for handgun reloading. The pistol rotor features a smaller metering chamber than the standard rifle insert, delivering precise charge weights between 0.5 and 17 grains — the range typically required for pistol and small-bore revolver loads. Hornady's Lock-N-Load system uses a quick-change push-button design that lets you swap between pistol and rifle inserts in seconds without tools, so a single powder measure covers your full reloading bench. The tight drum-to-rotor tolerances that define the Lock-N-Load Powder Measure are maintained in this insert, ensuring consistent, repeatable throws with both ball and extruded pistol powders. An adjustment lock ring holds your preferred setting firmly in place between sessions. Compatible with the Hornady Lock-N-Load Powder Measure and Lock-N-Load AP progressive press powder measure — not compatible with the Lock-N-Load Bench Rest or Black Powder measures.
