The Hornady Standard Micrometer is a precision analogue measuring instrument built for the reloader who needs reliable, repeatable readings. It measures from 0 to 1 inch in 0.0001" increments — fine enough to confirm bullet diameters, check case heads and verify seating depths with confidence. Graduations are marked directly on the barrel, giving a clear analogue readout without batteries or digital displays to worry about. A ratchet stop ensures consistent spindle pressure across each measurement, removing the operator variable that causes readings to drift, while the spindle lock holds the position when you lift the micrometer clear of the workpiece so the reading is never lost mid-check. The hardened C-frame carries a baked-enamel finish for durability at the loading bench. The micrometer comes supplied in a plastic storage case that protects the measuring faces during storage and transport.
