The Illinois River Long Range Predator Call is an all-round varmint call built for foxes, coyotes, bobcats and other predators, producing the quavering screams of a rabbit in distress with enough volume to reach out over long range. At the heart of the call is a tough plastic reed that holds its tone and stands up to years of regular field use, rather than degrading after a season or two like cheaper open-reed calls. Finished all-black for a discreet, low-glare profile in the hand, it is simple to operate and gives predator callers a reliable long-range option to draw animals in from a distance before switching to a close-range call for the final approach. Made in the USA by Illinois River (marketed in the UK as DJ Illinois River Valley Calls), it is a straightforward, no-frills mouth call rather than an electronic unit, so there are no batteries or settings to worry about — just a call that has proven itself with fox and varmint controllers who need a call that carries.
