Smith's 6" Diamond Tri-Hone is a three-stone bench sharpening system built to take a blade from dull to polished without swapping equipment. Three 6" x 1 5/8" stones — a 325-grit coarse diamond, a 750-grit fine diamond and a natural Arkansas stone at 1000-1200 grit for finishing — are colour-coded and mounted on a triangular base with handles at each end, so rotating between stages takes a turn of the wrist rather than a change of tool. Both diamond stones use an interrupted, broken-surface pattern that cuts faster and clears swarf as you work, and each carries a Micro-Tool Sharpening Pad for getting into narrow tips and small blades that a flat stone struggles with. The base is moulded, non-skid and holds a trough in the bottom to catch excess honing solution, and the set includes a sharpening angle guide plus a 1oz bottle of honing solution to get started. It handles pocket, hunting and fishing knives, kitchen knives and general cutting tools of any size, making it a solid all-in-one bench setup for anyone who keeps more than one blade sharp.
