The Gerber LST is an update on the brand's classic lightweight lockback, a design dating back to the 1980s and still built to the same lightweight, no-nonsense brief. This plain edge (PE) version carries a 2.5in clip point blade in 440A stainless steel with a stonewash finish, opened via a thumb hole and held secure by a traditional lockback mechanism. The handle is glass-filled nylon (GFN) - strong, grippy and impressively light - bringing the closed knife to just 3.8in and the whole knife to only 1.3oz. A removable tip-up pocket clip lets you choose how to carry it, and a lanyard hole gives a second option for keeping it on a keyring or pack. It's a simple, dependable folding tool for everyday cutting jobs - opening packaging, cutting cord, general fieldcraft and utility tasks - rather than a specialist blade, and its low weight means it's easy to keep close at hand.
