The Marttiini Reindeer Explorer is a beautifully finished all-round puukko from Rovaniemi, built to be as practical in the field as it is handsome on display. The 11cm blade is Marttiini's traditional Lynx pattern, ground with a blood groove and forged from stainless steel containing around 13% chromium, hardened to 53-54 HRC - a combination that holds an edge well and resists corrosion, making it easy to keep in top condition (a diamond sharpener is recommended for touch-ups). At 23cm overall it sits comfortably in the hand for skinning, food prep and general camp tasks. The handle is turned from Finnish curly birch and finished with a genuine reindeer horn cap, a traditional pairing that gives a warm, secure grip and means every knife carries its own natural grain and pattern. A leather sheath sized to the blade is included, made in the same Nordic tradition.
