This is the Zeiss flip-up objective lens cover sized for the 60mm front lens of the Victory V8 and HT riflescopes. Machined from aluminium, it screws directly into the objective filter thread for a secure, rattle-free fit and keeps rain, snow, dust and the odd knock off the front glass while you are out stalking. A spring-loaded hinge flicks the cap clear the moment you need to mount the rifle, and it can be set to open in any position to suit how you carry and shoulder the scope, so it works equally well for left- and right-handed shots. With the cap raised the field of view is completely clear, leaving nothing in the sight picture, and the whole thing is quick to fit at the start of the day and just as quick to remove for cleaning. Made in Germany to the standard you would expect for a piece of Zeiss kit, it is a sensible bit of protection for an expensive optic that lives out in all weathers.
