The Barnes Tipped Triple-Shock X (TTSX) is a 100% copper, lead-free rifle bullet head for handloaders working in .270 Winchester and other .277in-bore cartridges. This box of 50 is 110 grain, sitting at the lighter end of the .277 diameter range for handloaders after flatter trajectories and reduced recoil. Building on the standard TSX, the TTSX adds a polymer tip that boosts ballistic coefficient (0.377 on this weight) and initiates expansion on impact, while a re-engineered nose cavity opens four razor-sharp copper petals to roughly double the bullet's original diameter. The all-copper shank is grooved to reduce bore pressure and fouling, and the design retains close to 100% of its weight after impact for deep, reliable penetration - a combination that has made the TSX/TTSX family a favourite among UK stalkers loading their own .270 ammunition for deer and other medium game.
