Sierra's GameKing 150 grain Full Metal Jacket Boat Tail is a.30 calibre (.308") component bullet built for reloaders working up long-range hunting loads. The boat tail profile gives it the reduced drag and flatter trajectory normally associated with match-grade target bullets, while the FMJ construction keeps expansion to a minimum. The cannelure is positioned to suit both.308/7.62mm NATO and.30-06 cartridges, and the bullet is designed to cycle reliably through semi-automatic actions such as the M14/M1A and M1 Garand. At low to medium velocities it is a sound choice where pelt damage needs to be kept to a minimum, making it popular with hunters after fox, vermin and other quarry where a clean, non-expanding strike matters.
