Sierra's Pro-Hunter 175 grain Spitzer is a proven big-game bullet in 8mm (.323 inch) calibre, supplied as a box of 100 bullet heads for handloading — not loaded ammunition. It uses the traditional Pro-Hunter flat-base design, combining Sierra's renowned accuracy with a custom-tapered jacket that promotes controlled expansion, good weight retention and deep penetration for reliable one-shot performance on medium and larger game. The 175 grain weight makes it a natural choice for the 8x57mm Mauser, and it also performs well loaded in the 8mm magnum cartridges favoured by stalkers and big-game hunters. Each bullet has a G1 ballistic coefficient of 0.381 and a sectional density of 0.24, giving a flat trajectory and solid penetration at typical stalking ranges. The bullets are non-coated, have no cannelure, and are manufactured in the USA to Sierra's usual tight tolerances. A dependable option for reloaders after a well-proven 8mm hunting bullet from one of the most respected names in the business.
