The Zeiss Secacam 5 Wide-Angle is a cellular trail camera built for close-range wildlife monitoring, bait-station surveillance and deer management. Its 100° field of view gives it a significant advantage over standard trail cameras in cramped cover — dense undergrowth, tight feeders or confined woodland rides — and the camera delivers sharp images from as close as 35 cm. The 5 MP CMOS sensor captures stills at up to 12 MP interpolated and transmits 1920 × 1440 px images directly to the ZEISS Secacam App via an LTE (4G) multi-roaming SIM, so you can check activity without disturbing the ground. Sixty 940 nm black LEDs (invisible flash) illuminate subjects to a range of around 30 m without alerting wildlife, while a passive detection zone extends to 25 m. GPS locates the camera on start-up. The unit runs on eight AA batteries in a hinged compartment, stores footage to SD or SDHC cards up to 32 GB, and connects via USB-C for offloading. At 130 × 100 × 70 mm and 320 g without batteries, it is compact enough to strap to a branch or post in the most confined spots.
