Factory-loaded centrefire rifle ammunition from Hornady, chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor and topped with the 129-grain SST bullet. The SST is a polymer-tipped, boat-tail design with an InterLock ring inside the jacket, giving rapid yet controlled expansion and good weight retention on impact — the combination that makes it a sound choice for deer and other big game. The Superformance load uses progressive propellants to lift muzzle velocity by roughly 100 to 200 fps over conventional ammunition without adding felt recoil, muzzle blast or pressure, so you get a flatter trajectory and more retained energy downrange while keeping the rifle comfortable to shoot. From a 24-inch test barrel Hornady record a muzzle velocity of 2,950 fps and 2,493 ft/lb of energy, dropping to roughly 2,571 fps at 200 yards. The flat shooting and consistent accuracy also make it well suited to range work and load development. Supplied in boxes of 20 rounds.
