Hornady's Varmint Express load pairs the .22 Hornet centrefire cartridge with the famous 35-grain V-MAX bullet, making it a natural choice for vermin control and small-quarry work at modest ranges. The polymer-tipped V-MAX initiates rapid, violent expansion on contact, dumping its energy into the target for clean, decisive results on foxes, rabbits, corvids and other pests around the farm or estate. Leaving a 24-inch barrel at around 3,070 fps for roughly 732 ft/lb of muzzle energy, it delivers the flat trajectory and consistent accuracy the .22 Hornet is valued for, while keeping recoil and report low.
