This is Hornady's .308 Winchester Superformance load, pairing a 150-grain SST bullet with the maker's progressive Superformance propellants in a box of 20 factory rounds. The SST (Super Shock Tip) is a polymer-tipped, boat-tail bullet built on a secant ogive profile, designed to drive a high ballistic coefficient for a flat trajectory and to expand reliably on impact while holding its weight through the InterLock ring. Hornady quotes a muzzle velocity of 3,000 fps and muzzle energy of around 2,997 ft/lb from a 24-inch test barrel, with the Superformance powders delivering that extra speed without raising chamber pressure, recoil or muzzle blast over conventional loads. For UK deer stalkers and deer managers, the 150-grain .308 is a well-proven choice on roe, fallow and similar species, and the load is equally at home on the range. The rounds are brass-cased and Boxer-primed, so the cases can be kept back for reloading. Supplied in Hornady's standard 20-round carton.
