Winchester Super-X Power-Point in .243 Winchester is a factory-loaded centre-fire rifle cartridge built around a 100-grain exposed soft-nose, jacketed bullet (Winchester symbol X2432). Notches cut around the jacket mouth control how the nose opens, giving uniform expansion and a strong transfer of energy on impact. Out of the muzzle it runs at 2,960 fps for 1,945 ft-lbs of energy, with a ballistic coefficient of 0.356, which keeps the flat-shooting .243 honest at sensible stalking ranges. The combination of controlled expansion and reliable penetration makes it a sound choice for fox control and for stalking the smaller deer species, where the .243 is one of the most widely used calibres in the UK. Each round is loaded in a reloadable brass case with a Boxer primer, so once-fired cases can be saved for home loading. Supplied in a box of 20 rounds. A valid firearm certificate covering .243 is required to purchase, and ammunition should be stored securely in line with the conditions of your certificate.
