The Hill Dry-Pac Kit is the genuine moisture-removal cartridge for Hill PCP hand pumps that use the Dry-Pac system - a small filter unit that fits inline on the pump and strips moisture out of the air before it reaches your PCP air rifle or HPA bottle. Hill's patented Dry-Pac technology removes around 90% of the moisture in the air passing through the pump, which matters because damp air pushed into a rifle's cylinder or regulator over time causes internal rust and corrosion. The kit comes complete with the Dry-Pac cartridge housing and refill sachets of the moisture-absorbing desiccant medium, so it is ready to fit and use straight away. The desiccant beads change colour from orange to green as they become saturated, giving a clear visual cue for when a refill is due - typically every three to six months, depending on how often the pump is used and how humid the conditions are. Refilling takes moments and needs no tools: open the cartridge, tip out the spent medium and pour in a fresh sachet.
