The Sceery Ace-1 is a bite-and-blow elk call built to reproduce cow and calf vocalisations - originally developed in the US for elk, and now well proven by UK stalkers calling Sika deer. Its soft, nasal tones closely mirror the contact and territorial calls of a hind and calf, which can draw a rutting stag in for a closer look or hold up a moving animal for a better shot opportunity. The call uses a tough voice unit set in a soft rubber barrel, which keeps it quiet to carry in a pack or pocket and protects it from knocks against the rest of your kit. Tone and volume are shaped by bite pressure and airflow, so with a little practice the call can be tailored for dense woodland or open ground, and it works even with cold, gloved hands.
