Scope rings are the mechanical link between optic and rifle, and properly engineered rings hold zero through repeated recoil and weather without shifting. Sized specifically for the right combination of tube diameter and objective clearance, the matched pair ensures correct alignment across both ring positions — critical to avoid stressing the scope tube during torque-up. 36 mm tubes are uncommon — most often found on dedicated long-range and night-vision optics.
