The Mjoelner Stag Trophy Plate (29 x 17 cm) is a traditional Scandinavian shield-shape trophy plate sized for fallow buck, sika stag and similar mid-size European stags. It's made from solid oak and finished with stain and lacquer in a dark colour that complements the impressive antlers of mature stags and adds the heritage character you'd expect to see in a sporting lodge, country house gun room or stately gallery. The reverse carries pre-drilled, routed mounting holes with indentation around the screw heads so the plate sits flush against the wall once it's hung. Proportions are scaled so the antlers have room to read against the wood — important when you're presenting the trophy of a serious stag taken on the hill.
