The Harris No. 6A is a bipod rail adaptor that lets you fit a Harris bipod to a rifle with an American-style accessory rail, using a 5/16 inch cross-rail slot. It slides into the rail and locks in place with a grub screw, giving a secure, no-play connection between rifle and bipod stud. The adaptor is machined from heat-treated steel and hard alloy, so it stands up to repeated mounting and dismounting in the field without the stud wearing loose. It's a simple, low-cost way to get a genuine Harris bipod onto a rifle that wasn't originally set up for one, useful for stalkers and rifle shooters running Weaver-pattern or other American-spec rails on their fore-end. Fitting takes moments and needs no tools beyond what's supplied with the bipod itself. As with all Harris parts, this adaptor is made to work specifically with the Harris bipod range, so check your rail width before ordering to be sure the 5/16 inch American-rail version is the correct one for your setup rather than the European 3/8 inch alternative.
