Birchwood Casey's Walnut Wood Stain is a water-based, fast-drying stain formulated to bring a true, rich walnut-brown colour to gun stocks and other wooden furniture. Supplied in a 3 oz bottle, it goes on clear and even, without the grain clouding or blotching that can spoil a refinishing job, and it will not bleed once dry. Because it is water-soluble, colour intensity is easy to control: dilute with water for a lighter tone, or apply full strength for a deeper, traditional walnut finish, making it equally suited to darkening light woods such as birch.
