Tactical Sound Control technology amplifies ambient sound by up to 8x so you can hear conversation and movement around you, then cuts out sharply within 2 milliseconds whenever a gunshot or other harmful noise hits, protecting your hearing at NRR 20 dB (SNR 27). SafeMax volume limiting keeps amplified sound capped at a safe 85 dB for all-day wear. This is the Basic version of the DEFY Slim: there is no Bluetooth and no microphone for calls, just straightforward electronic hearing protection. It runs for up to 300 hours from 2 included AAA batteries, comes with an auxiliary cord, carries an IPX4 rating against sweat and rain, and sits on an adjustable headband that fits most head sizes.
