- 22cm overall length, approx. 140g
- Suited to hunting, fieldcraft and carving
- Carbon steel blade needs drying and oiling after use to prevent rust
- Part of Marttiini's popular Lumberjack range, distinguished by its antler-finished handle
The Lumberjack Antler pairs Marttiini's popular Lumberjack blade with a handle finished in reindeer antler bone for a distinctive Nordic look. The 10cm blade is forged from carbon steel and Scandi ground, taking a fine edge for carving and general fieldcraft and easy to bring back to sharpness with a stone. The handle combines heat-treated birch, which takes on a rich hardwood tone under heat treatment, with a reindeer antler bone section — a natural material, so the colour and pattern vary from knife to knife and no two are quite alike. The sheath is genuine leather in brown. Overall length is 22cm and the knife weighs around 140g. As with any carbon steel blade, a little routine care goes a long way: dry it thoroughly after use and oil it regularly with an unsalted oil to keep it working and rust-free. It's a practical hunting and outdoor knife with a bit more character than the plain birch-handled Lumberjack, equally suited to fieldwork or as a gift.
