The Marttiini Ranger is a modern take on the traditional Sami leuku - a large, robust wilderness knife built to cut, carve and split kindling and firewood, not just fine work. The blade runs to 16cm and is forged from stainless steel (X46Cr13, hardened to 53-55 HRC), ground to the strong, deep profile of the traditional Lapp knife so it copes with heavier bushcraft tasks that a smaller puukko would struggle with. Total length is 29cm, giving real leverage and a substantial grip for demanding camp chores. The handle combines the pale tone of Finnish curly birch with darker thermally-treated birch, a contrast that is as practical as it is handsome - both timbers are dense and stable, and hold up well to repeated hard use. A leather sheath sized to the blade is included. Built in Rovaniemi to Marttiini's long-standing leuku principles, the Ranger suits stalkers, campers and anyone who needs one dependable knife for genuinely heavy outdoor work.
