The Morakniv Erik Frost 106 (LC) is a classic Scandinavian whittling knife from the Mora tradition — the model pattern that helped establish Morakniv's reputation among carvers and craftspeople worldwide. Produced in Mora, Sweden, where knife-making has been practised since 1891, the 106 carries an 82mm blade of French laminated carbon steel (100CR6): a hard carbon core sandwiched between softer outer layers, giving the edge excellent retention while the body resists lateral stress. The blade is ground to a Scandi zero grind with no secondary bevel, which keeps it tracking cleanly through the wood and is straightforward to resharpen in the field on a flat stone. The narrow, tapering profile suits a wide range of carving work — shaping tent pegs, fashioning spoon blanks, cutting notches for friction-fire sets, or any fine camp craft that calls for a controllable, precise edge.
