This is a genuine Lightforce replacement HID bulb, rated 50W with a 4200K colour temperature, built to fit Lightforce's Remote Mount (RM) and Remote Mount Driving Light (RMDL) housings — the same globe fitted as standard to their 50W HID driving lights and vehicle-mounted spotlights used for off-road work, farm and estate vehicles, and lamping from a truck or quad. HID (high-intensity discharge) bulbs run brighter and whiter than a halogen equivalent of the same wattage, and the 4200K rating gives a crisp, natural white beam rather than the yellow tint of an older-style globe. As with any HID bulb, output and colour will fade gradually with use, and this genuine Lightforce part is the straightforward way to bring a tired RM or RMDL light back up to its original brightness rather than replacing the whole unit. Fitting is bulb-only — it doesn't include a ballast or housing — so check the light in question is the RM or RMDL model before ordering.
