Neoprene Wellingtons

    Filter

A neoprene lining is insulation you notice within an hour of standing still. For driven days, wildfowling, a long sit in a highseat or winter feeding rounds, a lined boot is the difference between comfortable and counting down the drives.

      What is held

      • Le Chameau - Vierzonord Plus (5mm neoprene) and the Chasseur in men's and women's fits.
      • Harkila - Orton shooting boot, in gusset and zipped versions.
      • Arxus - Pioneer Nord, Primo Nord Zip and Primo Country Zip.
      • Grubs - Tayline 5.0.
      • Hoggs of Fife - Field Sport neoprene-lined.
      • Jack Pyke - Ashcombe.
      • Cotswold - Blaze, Compass, Kenwood, Grovsner ankle boots, and the Hilly in children's sizes.

Three things to check before ordering

      • Neoprene thickness. Thicker is warmer and stiffer. A 5mm boot is a standing boot; if you are walking miles in it you will want less.
      • Zip or gusset. A zip makes a boot far easier to get on and off and gives you room over a wide calf or a thick sock. A gusset is one less thing to fail.
      • Calf width. Lined boots lose internal volume to the lining, so a size that fitted an unlined welly can be tight. Check the calf measurement rather than assuming.

Unlined and hybrid options are under Wellington Boots, the full brand range under Le Chameau, and Socks and Gaiters if you are building the rest of the leg.
