The Sitka CORE Lightweight Crew SS in GORE OPTIFADE Subalpine is a short-sleeve base layer top and the next-to-skin foundation of the CORE Lightweight system for all-season wear. Its quick-dry, 100% polyester Comfort Stretch Knit wicks moisture away from the skin and dries fast, making it equally at home as a standalone top on warm preseason scouting trips or layered beneath insulation and a shell once temperatures drop. A low-profile crewneck and drop-tail design with flatlock seam construction keep the fit close and comfortable, with no bulky seams to chafe under a pack or harness. Permanent Polygiene Odor Control technology is bonded into the fabric to stop the growth of odour-causing bacteria and fungi, helping keep scent down through long days afield. The Subalpine pattern is built to break up outline in mixed light and vegetation around the treeline, giving this top a natural match for hunters working subalpine ground rather than open plains. Short sleeves keep the arms cool while the rest of the CORE Lightweight system does the work of temperature and moisture management.
