The Sitka Merino Core Lightweight Bottom is a next-to-skin base layer legging built from a premium 85% 120-gram 17.5-micron merino wool and 15% nylon core-spun blend, engineered for stalking and hill days across a broad range of conditions. Spinning the merino around a nylon core gives the fabric the natural comfort, warmth, moisture management and odour control of merino wool while adding the durability and stretch of nylon, so it stands up to repeated wear in the field without losing performance. A high heat-to-weight ratio and excellent breathability make it equally at home on cold, static watches and harder-working stalks, regulating temperature as effort levels change. Finished in GORE OPTIFADE Concealment Subalpine, a pattern developed for stalking and ambushing ungulates from ground level in tree-covered and vegetated terrain, it suits woodland and mixed-ground stalking as well as any UK hunter wanting a proven, close-fitting thermal layer. The close, low-bulk fit sits cleanly under mid and outer layers without bunching, making it a dependable first layer for cold-weather stalking or any day where warmth and next-to-skin comfort matter most.
