Barnes LRX (Long-Range X) 145 grain projectiles for handloading the 7mm/.284 calibre, supplied 50 to a box. Machined from solid copper rather than a lead core, the LRX is a fully lead-free hunting bullet with a long, streamlined boat-tail profile designed for consistent long-range accuracy and a high ballistic coefficient. On impact the nose opens instantly into four razor-sharp petals, driving a wide wound channel through dense, thick-skinned game while the solid-copper shank retains the vast majority of its original weight, giving deep, reliable penetration well beyond what a conventional lead-core bullet can manage. That combination of expansion and weight retention makes it a proven choice for stalkers and hunters who want dependable terminal performance at extended range, particularly where lead-free ammunition is required. Ballistic coefficient (G1) is 0.486 with a sectional density of 0.257. Supplied as bare projectiles for handloading only — this is a reloading component, not loaded ammunition, so a press, dies and appropriate load data are needed to use them.
