The Barnes TTSX (Tipped Triple-Shock X) is a 30 calibre, .308" diameter, 165 grain rifle bullet supplied as a box of 50 projectiles for handloaders - these are bullet heads for reloading, not loaded ammunition. Built on the same all-copper, lead-free platform as the original TSX, the TTSX adds a polymer tip that boosts the ballistic coefficient for flatter, more consistent flight and reliably initiates expansion on impact. The re-engineered nose cavity opens faster than the standard TSX, and the boat-tail base helps keep the bullet stable downrange. Because the bullet is machined from solid copper rather than a lead-cored jacket, it holds together on impact instead of shedding weight, giving deep, controlled penetration and near-complete weight retention through big game. The pre-scored shank petals peel back symmetrically to widen the wound channel while the shank itself stays intact, so there's no core-jacket separation to worry about.
