Barnes TTSX (Tipped Triple-Shock X) is a 100% copper, lead-free rifle bullet designed for reliable expansion and deep, controlled penetration on big-bodied game. This .35 calibre (.358) bullet weighs 200 grains and is supplied as a component projectile, 50 to the box, for reloading rather than as loaded ammunition. It shares the construction of the standard Triple-Shock X: a solid copper shank with a re-engineered hollow nose cavity and four skiving cuts, topped with a polymer tip that boosts ballistic coefficient and reliably starts expansion on impact. On impact the nose peels back into four razor-sharp cutting petals while the shank holds together, so the bullet typically retains close to its full weight instead of fragmenting — useful with the larger frontal area a .358 bullet already carries into big, tough game. Grooves cut into the bearing surface act as pressure-relief channels, reducing bore friction, copper fouling and pressure spikes without giving up accuracy. The .35 calibre TTSX is a natural fit for handloaders shooting .35 Whelen, .358 Norma Magnum and similar big-bore cartridges at wild boar and heavy deer.
