The Hornady Match™ BTHP is a 30 calibre (.308") 168-grain boat-tail hollow-point component projectile built for handloaders who demand the highest standards of precision. This bullet is a long-established favourite for 308 Winchester target and competition shooting, and is widely used by long-range shooters and service-rifle competitors who need consistent, repeatable accuracy. All Hornady Match™ bullets are produced using the AMP® (Advanced Manufacturing Process) jacket technology, which delivers near-zero concentricity runout and near-zero wall thickness variation — the foundation of exceptional shot-to-shot consistency. The swaged lead core is produced to exacting tolerances for optimal balance and uniformity. A secant ogive profile provides the optimum bearing surface and maximises the ballistic coefficient, while the boattail — its angle and length optimised for this specific calibre and weight — reduces base drag for a flatter trajectory at long range. Suitable for loading in 308 Winchester, 7.62×51 NATO and other 30-calibre match cartridges. Sold as component bullets for handloading; no FAC required to purchase bullet heads in the UK.
