The Hornady .458 350gr InterLock® RN is a heavy round-nose component bullet for handloading .45-calibre rifle cartridges. At 350 grains, this is one of the heavier projectiles in the InterLock® line — well suited to the .458 Winchester Magnum and similar large dangerous-game chamberings where a substantial, hard-hitting round-nose profile is the traditional choice for heavy cover and close-range work. The exposed lead tip delivers controlled expansion, while the tapered jacket — varying in thickness along its length — ensures reliable performance across a broad velocity range. Inner grooves weaken the upper jacket section in a controlled manner for consistent expansion. The InterLock® ring, a raised band embedded inside the jacket and set into the lead core, prevents core-jacket separation during expansion, ensuring the bullet retains mass and energy for deep penetration and consistent wound channels. The one-piece core avoids the inconsistency of divided designs. A cannelure provides a firm crimp seat and reinforces the InterLock® ring's retention function. The secant ogive profile manages drag and promotes in-flight stability. Sold as component bullets for reloading; quantity per pack as listed.
