The Hornady A-TIP Match in 6.5mm (.264 diameter), 135 grains, is Hornady's flagship precision component bullet for competitive handloaders. Where the ELD Match uses a polymer Heat Shield tip, the A-TIP employs a precision-machined aluminium tip that is longer than conventional polymer options, moving the bullet's centre of gravity rearward and enhancing in-flight stability. The aeroballistically advanced tip design reduces drag variability and tightens groups. The AMP bullet jacket offers industry-leading uniformity and concentricity, and all A-TIP bullets are sequentially packaged straight from the press — minimal handling throughout manufacture ensures consistency from bullet to bullet. Each box includes a polishing bag to prepare bullets for loading; Hornady recommends using the dedicated A-TIP seating stem for optimal bullet seating.
