The Hornady A-TIP Match in 7mm .284" at 166 grains is a precision long-range match bullet developed by Hornady's Ballistic Development Group for the most exacting accuracy requirements. Where other match bullets use polymer tips, the A-TIP employs a precision-machined aluminium tip that is longer and more dimensionally consistent, shifting the centre of gravity rearward to enhance in-flight stability and reduce drag variability between rounds. The AMP (Advanced Manufacturing Process) bullet jacket delivers industry-leading uniformity and concentricity, and bullets are sequentially packaged straight from the press — minimising handling to preserve consistency from bullet to bullet. Doppler-radar-verified ballistic coefficients confirm low drag performance that is forgiving of slight variations in seating depth, twist rate and muzzle velocity. Each box includes a polishing bag, as bullets are not bulk-washed after manufacture. Note: use of a dedicated A-TIP seating stem is required for optimal bullet seating. For competitive long-range shooting and precision rifle work in 7mm platforms.
